What is a Health Coach?

A Health Coach is a guide and mentor who empowers clients to take responsibility for his or her own health and supports them to implement and sustain lifestyle and behavior changes that will contribute to the achievement of their personal wellness goals. Some common areas where a Health Coach may help a client to focus include weight management, food cravings, sleep, energy, stress management and digestion just to name a few.
A Health Coach often works with generally healthy clients who may not necessarily be practicing many bad habits, but are not practicing enough of the good habits.
With a strong focus on behavioral choices along with the basic understanding of dietary patterns and overall health, Health Coaches fulfill an important and distinct role that does not rely on an advanced degree in medicine, nutrition science or dietetics.

Everyone wants to be healthy, right?

Granted, in today's world many people are suffering from serious illnesses referred to as "chronic diseases" such as Type II diabetes, obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. (which are, by the way, all preventable and reversible through lifestyle choices). 
But those who do not suffer from any medically diagnosed ailment consider themselves to be healthy.

In my opinion, many people don't know that they could feel better, MUCH better than the way they do now, if they followed some health principles. 
Maybe they even DO have some issues like skin problems, constipation, joint pain or fatigue, but they consider that to be normal, since most people suffer from one or many of those conditions.

Well, I think everyone should be able to feel and look great. We all have the right to be truly healthy.
